Dad changed jobs to install new radio equipment at Washington National Airport, which was still under construction. Still with Civil Service, he installed radio equipment in Washington National Airport, which was still under construction.

24 Reese Court

We first lived at 1615 Princess Street in Alexandria for 5 months, then moved in June to 24 Reese Court (now had a different nae). I first went to a school in the heart of Alexandria – had to walk alone because mom had to stay home with Bobby.

At the first school I was n second grade. I recall using the clock as a number line for adding numbers. The teacher was impressed (I guess she recognized genius) and I was advanced to 2B. That is a half year ahead – start 3rd grease in January instead of June. But we left in October.
